School Rumble... blame it on seeing Azumanga at a young age if you want but I'm convinced that the years 2002-2004 managed to create some of the single cutest anime girls ever, or at least one of the most consistently cute styles... The girls in this show certainly count. And the guys are hilarious. Every character is great! But Yakumo has to be the crown jewel...

A friend once described the moral of this show: Love turns you into an idiot, and it's even worse when you're already an idiot in he first place.

I just finished watching Saki Achiga-hen and this was easily the most fun I have had for the past few months!
Also, the best girl has the best song:

I'm currently watching the first Saki season for the first time, but I'm not enjoying it as much as Achiga-hen. I hope that's because there haven't been that many mahjong matches yet and that the show will get better once I reach the tournament episodes.

Watched the first episode of Goblin Slayer. Holy yikes, Batman! Didn't think that it warranted nearly the amount of hype and publicity that it's received. Like, it's just... mediocre.

Honestly one of the best romcoms around! One of my all time favourites, the manga is pretty good too.

Sadly it's pretty underrated. I wanted to buy a figurine of one of the School Rumble girls while in Japan, but even though I went to several mals and looked around for hours I couldn't find a single one! Had to settle for CC in beachwear. :'(

EDIT: Eri >>>>> Yakumo

Ahh, I see you're a man of taste as well.

That show was positively brimming with wit and sheer charm. My memories of it are hazy fragments at best, but I remember it fondly for having watched it with my mom some six years ago. Those were carefree days. Good days.

Started watching Yuru CampΔ recently. Cute girls doing cute shit shows are usually not really up my alley, but with this show it's different.

It's as if someone had turned up the comfyness meter to heights I hadn't known existed. It's pure destilled fluff and cuteness.

Nothing ever happens but I can't stop watching.

Finished Full Metal Panic, as well as Fumoffu and The Second Raid. Pretty decent stuff overall, though I thought the high school comedy sections were a lot more engaging than the mecha action and in that way it was oddly balanced.

It's rare for me to like the gaijin character best but Tessa is such a cutie!

What should I watch next? First reply decides.

Queen's Blade
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!
Strike Witches
Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei
Girls und Panzer

Tough call. From that list I think KonoSuba and Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei are objectively "better" animes than the rest. But for nostalgia's sake, I'd recommend Strike Witches. (I really liked it back when I was 15. Not sure if it holds up, though.)

Alright, I'll try it soon! I'm not picky. I'll probably watch all of those soon anyway.

Do these include shows you've watched before? If not, I'm a little shocked you haven't seen Zetsubou-sensei. It's something that's perfectly up your alley.

I haven't which is why it's on there for a reason!
Maybe that next, but a promise is a promise so I'll watch Strike Witches first. As usual there's a good mix of ecchi shlock and "serious" anime in my to-watch list, as I feel the need to represent my two loves...
(I usually pick what to watch by how many figures there are of what I want... I am truly irredeemable)

Dream Hunter Rem. It's a shame I've neglected the 80s animes so much!

Why did I put off watching this for so long?

(Strike Witches was very fun escapism, thank you mnl)

I am now watching Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei as promised and it's pretty wonderful. Though sometimes it moves so fast that I don't feel I'm getting all the humor. Oh well, that just means I can watch it again and enjoy it even more.
