i really like pause and select because they do in-depth analysis of anime, manga and the philosophy behind them as well as commentary on society in japan, without any clutter. the videos just say what they say without trying to force it to be appealing to a wide array of people which i love. i think i've found a new favourite to watch and drink tea to. <3

I had around a couple dozen subscriptions a few years back, mostly gaming stuff, but these days it's pretty much dwindled down to just Red Letter Media. Best of the Worst is a godsend.

Lazy Game Reviews is a good Youtube channel. Has the perfect mix of modern and vintage stuff, plus Clint seems like a chill guy.

After kinda forgetting that he even existed for awhile I've revisited ProtonJonSA, mostly because I was told that he was still releasing new episodes of his Superman 64 Let's Play. At the rate he's at now he might actually finish before 2020. It's also been literal ages since I've viewed any of his classic content so this'll be a nice refresher.

Recently I stumbled upon a rather small channel by the name of Fredrik Knudsen. He makes a series called Down the Rabbit Hole where he provides in-depth overviews of certain topics. What is covered by him includes more widely known subjects such as DarksydePhil and Chris-chan but also more obscure oddities like Empress Theresa. The videos are well put together and fairly informative. I learned a lot about Star Citizen from his video on it and it changed my overall outlook toward the game.

Man, whatever happened to the last generation of LPers? The ones who put out ten-minute segments just for fun. Nowadays it might seem like YT's gotten stale, but that's just 'cuz large for-profit channels (or groups of channels) totally eclipsed them.

That's not to say they're gone, though! One of my favorite old-school LPers, Frankomatic, still regularly puts out videos, as does NakaTeeli and Raocow. If you're interested in super-chill commentary over obscure old games, I'd totes check him out. :3

ashens - If you like deadpan reviews of poorly made action figures, classic games, loot boxes, and poundland stuff, he's your guy.
bigclivedotcom - Takes apart electronics, usually cheap chinese ones, explains how they work, and what's wrong with them. Occasionally blows stuff up.

Summoning Salt's World Record Progression series has quickly become a favorite of mine. In each video he gives a summary of the history surrounding speed runs of certain games and how they evolved over time, with the exception of the video on Donkey Kong. They're presented in a very competitive like narrative that feels a bit like watching a sports documentary which will keep you engaged in what's going on even if you don't care that much about speed running in general or the game that is being talked about.

IdubbbzTV - Says itself doesn't it :p He's a fun guy.
h3h3 + h3 podcast - Nice commentary and humourous takes on the news. Lately I have started to watch their podcasts too, totally awesome to get to see the face of some youtubers talking and chilling. Without their usual persona you know? Get to know em.
Maxmoefoe channels - A bit of everything. Games, sketches and good vlogs.
Pewdiepie - Lately picked it up. Fun and entertaining!
>Occasionally I watch FilthyFrank, but especially if it's collab with Idubbbz, Maxmoefoe and Anything4Views. They make very funny sketches.

Glink - Nice takes and commentary on different controversial topics.
DrewGooden - Kinda Ex-viner. He makes similar content as h3h3 or Idubbbz.
AbroadInJapan - Vlogish channel about life and events in japan. Very funny brittish guy.
Serpentza - Interesting vlogs from an south african/british man living in china. About life in china in general. Mainly about life in mainland china.
Pyrocynical - Fun commentary with self-depricating humour. Kind of funny to me.

I recently found this channel, I'm suprised it has such low amount of views. You'd probably really like Nerdwriter1 and KaptainKristian the latter being one of my favorite.
