I use FireFox Developer Edition because I'm used to to it, and you can disable WebRTC.

Longtime Firefox user here but been having some problems lately. Anyone else running into "This site is untrusted yada yada" way too often? I don't even lurk such shady websites either, it's just odd.

Tempting me to switch to something else.

I heard firefox is dropping support for SHA1 SSL/TLS ciphers. I think this might be the reason you're getting these, the certificiates are using SHA1 which one might consider weak. It might be related to sloth vulnerability. Read for more info.

Ah, so I see. That helps me understand it better, thanks. I read into the alerts I was getting and they were issued by my antivirus so I disabled it until PC restart and voilá, I can now connect to the usual websites. Downside is, I'll have to rely on Common Sense 2016 from here on out.

actually found a cool chromium+vimium browser now. it's called vimb.

currently I'm only using it for imageboards, lewd.sx and a few other communities, but I'm trying to use it for everything in the future.

I use firefox because the font rendering is really good, and overall it's a pretty decent, way better than the botnet that is chrome.

Wow, I've never heard of that. I'll check it out in a bit.

Waterfox has been my main for close to a year now. Iridium is pretty cool too, it has the same or equivalent extensions to what I use on Waterfox and it's speedy, but I don't care much for the UI.

I would like to use Firefox, but I just find it too damn slow. So I'm currently using ungoogled-chromium.

Chrome. I feel most comfortable when I'm part of the botnet.

How is FF slow for you?

Using Waterfox myself. It's just better.

I don't know, I seem to be the only one who struggles with it. Especially riot.im - that site brings it to an almost downright standstill!

Gotta say, I really love the way Lynx renders things. There's something really pretty about it. Using it to read the forum is also a surprisingly different experience than from traditional browsers.

I switched over to Chrome because Firefox somehow got super slow and it makes me cry every time I boot it up.

I use Firefox with VimFX, it runs pretty good for me. I like autist browsers like vimb, but it doesn't render some modern websites.

Seeing that reminds me of the ancient bulletin board systems that exploded back in the early nineties. That was well before my time, but looking back it seems as if they represented the early web in it's purest form: A worldwide network of people attracted by a common interest, but retained by their sense of companionship.

If we were all born a good deal earlier, I could totes see Lewd as a BBS. All it'd be missing was a comfy low-fi soundtrack. :3

I really wish sometimes that I could've been around the computer scene in the 90s. It's always felt like a cool era in technology, and I don't mean that just for the AESTHETICS.

And speaking of classic BBS, some guy on 8/cyber/ made a style that harks back to the that look and I think it's pretty well put together.

The only detractor is that to me images tend to stick out like a sore thumb with it so it may be better suited to textboards.
