Theyre both not. I personally dislike listen to NSBM because I feel somewhat bad to listening to it.

Although bands like Absurd do have a somewhat nice music, if you ignore the text and messages behind it. Same goes for Ad Hominem (Depending if you count them into NSBM)

I always thought NSBM was kind of a weird concept. I guess it's just guys who want to piss off their parents and take it a little too far. They're the /pol/ of music in a way.

I've never been much of a black metal guy, but I do really like Melechesh.

Will listen to the song now.

Regarding the NSBM thing, sadly there are bands out there that are serious about what they do (For example Absurd, Totenburg).

I dunno what one has to have in his mind to seriously believe in stuff like they are singing about, but whatever.

Yeah well there's always the guys who take it too far. The entire metal community sees them as a laughing stock (metal is quite progressive, ironically enough), so who gives a fuck.

I've listened to a few tracks of the first album, maybe it's me but I don't think they're that great. The guitar work is average (I'm not very knowledgeable on black metal though), and some of the songs never really go amywhere (but maybe that's me). At the end of one of the songs you can hear this sort of what's meant to be a scary voice, but it just ends up being cringy to me because I get an unshakeable mental image of the singer standing in the studio recording the creepy voice.

I see :) What metal do you listen to then beside the one band you posted?

Also yea, the nsbm bands are like the top notch meme lol.
Tbh if I imagine any band in the studio I feel somewhat weird. No matter what type of music, I saw a video of I think some death metal vocalist that did his vocals with no instrumentals in the studio and god, it was so awful. Couldnt decide if I shall laugh or cry because of that haha.

I mostly listen to Megadeth and Iron Maiden and stuff, also neoclassical metal like Jason Becker and Marty Friedman. But I also like Carcass, Municipal Waste, Sepultura, Overkill, Jig Ai, and many other bands.

Hell yeah Carcass is dope, their my favorite metal band. I dont really listen to much metal any more but i can always go back to them. Im not a fan of their new stuff tho, after their drummer died (RIP) I wasnt feeling it no more. For black metal I like Dissection or some early 90's Behemoth.

Ken Owen hasn't died, he suffered from a brain hemorrhage but he's recovering. I'm actually going to see them live in a few weeks.

If he has died then please let me know.

I assume what goes through their mind is similar to what goes through the mind of anyone who is passionate and believes something firmly. Not a huge fan of NSBM, but I've enjoyed a few albums in the past. When it comes to music like that I try to appreciate the music more than the artists that made it.

Good album recommendations though, really like Seelenfrost.

Makes me happy that you liked it <3

Yea you're right. I think that's the best way to listen to such music :) Now where we're back on the NSBM topic I just saw a live video of Ad Hominem where a nazi came on stage and made the hitler greeting and went down again super fast but when he tried it again the singer literally kicked him from the stage, it was so funny to see haha.
