I guess episode 4 is always gonna be the suddenly crazy episode of each season. I am really hyped for next week.
What will the consequences of the shootout at the end be? I feel like Frank should have some secret moneymaking idea stashed away that becomes important later, or maybe he tries to steal something from under the police.
For those who may have started season one, what do you think? Ability to focus is definitely really important for watching True Detective.
Season 2 Episode 5 was great. I really hope the pace keeps increasing; the first 3 episodes were a bit stale this season.
I mostly want this dumb Frank plotline to either go somewhere or end, the other characters have become more likable while Frank is revealed to be more of a dick. Velcoro (Farrell) was just suffering this whole episode and had some great scenes. Woodrugh (Kitsch) didn't have anything too major happen besides being transferred and trying to get back on the field, but there was some mention to his mysterious combat background. Bezzerides (McAdams) seems to have dropped the e-cig for actual cigarettes, and her sex addiction has become more apparent. Hell, Frank even had some decent material throughout the ep.
"The catalyst" seems to be one of the keywords for this season, like "Carcosa" in season one.
I really do need to get into this. Didn't take much interest in it when it came out, but everyone kept saying how good it was so figured I'd watch it. Never got around too it, then S2 started releasing and I kept hearing people talk shit about it, thought it must be kinda shit after S1 then and figured I'd only watch it if I ran out of other things to watch, now S2 is near the end everyone is saying how good it is and I want to watch it again. Thanks for reminding me about this, I think it's all still on Sky Player so I'll probably binge watch it over a few nights sometime.
