"Trick2g is a regular League of Legends streamer on Twitch. Viewers of his stream know him for his insane antics and off-the-wall persona.
And while he's loved for his clowning around, he's also known for trying to educate his viewers by popularizing a game mode called "Sub Wars," where he pits his lowest-ranked subscribers against one another and explains to viewers what his subscribers are doing wrong, and what they can improve on."

Last Friday, Trick had a 24 hour stream to celebrate his 800k followers. He wanted to end the celebration with a bang, so he staged a swatting. The swat officer was played by one of his friends that could be seen earlier in the stream.

I personally like watching Trick2G. He's always extremely hype, but I definitely think it was a dumb move to stage a swatting. Streaming is his job, and i just wonder what he's going to do about this, or if Twitch will unban him

Thank you to all staff of lewd for keeping up with such an amazing site.

Anyone who tries to fake a swatting deserves to get banned. It's not exactly a good idea to joke about an issue that's very serious and has hurt many people.

Just saw a news article about this; he's lucky he's not banned for a longer period considering the wasted money and resources that actually go into swatting, as well as the dangers that are actually present when a real SWAT team equipped to neutralize any threat - even fatally, if need be - into an innocent person's home. Even without any physical incident, it can still cause emotional damage or trauma to both the victim and anyone who happens to be near the victim.

Faking a swatting isn't only stupid, he did it just to entertain his viewers and worse, allows for the idea that swatting is a joke.

Check this video out for someone's reaction to being swatted, and how it affected him:

This was the live footage after 10 police officers equipped with ARs
held my family at gun point due to a prank call; including my little

Holy fuck. That description made it sad as hell. Swatting is a ridiculous "prank" to do to people. They could have killed his family.

I saw this article a while back, and it really made me sick. Someone, anyone out there had the bright and stupid idea to SWAT this guy and laugh about it afterwards. It's a problem that needs to be fixed, pronto.

Lol you can clearly tell it's fake, he's smiling after they come in and the dude in the front ust ignores him and keep walking forward for some reason. It was a pretty dumb shit to do, but I'm not surprised considering we're dealing with trick here. I'm glad he got unbanned since I do enjoy tuning in to his stream once in a while, but he shoudl stray from dumb shit like this in the future.

I remember when this happened.... It was the first time I heard about "swatting." It's awful. I would think that police would do a bit more research before they rush someone's house like that.

Well, to be fair, the point of the whole SWAT thing is to get to the location where the report was filed immediately to neutralize any possible threats.

Yeah, but if I called the SWAT on my neighbors and the cops charged in there with guns, that's more like a witch hunt than effective police work.

I agree with that, but the only possibility of bringing in a SWAT team was if you mentioned something like gunshots or bloody murder or something. So you'd have to be trying really hard to get your neighbors killed :scream:

Yeah, but if I called the SWAT on my neighbors and the cops charged in there with guns, that's more like a witch hunt than effective police work.

SWAT teams are the fastest and possibly heaviest equipped for domestic disturbances in America (this counts bomb and other threats that some do not consider 'domestic'. They are also outranked by the National Guard in power, but certainly not speed).

They have stopped many a school shooting and neutralized countless murderers and would-be bombers thanks to their staggering swiftness. Every second done to research something is a second counting down in a bomb or a life lost in a shooting. This is why they are so aggressive and quick-footed.

Abusing them is very difficult and if you are caught doing so, the repercussions are tantamount to condemnation of your social life (after hefty jail-time).

As a result, the pros far outweighs the cons, though that doesn't make the cons any less serious, I agree. But it's what we have.

Also, being effective police work would be relevant, but the SWAT are not the police. They are a, if not several, level/s higher.

His luck will probably run out and he'll get caught the next time he tries swatting. At least I hope so.

Well, to be fair, the point of the whole SWAT thing is to get to the location where the report was filed immediately to neutralize any possible threats.

Yeah, but if I called the SWAT on my neighbors and the cops charged in there with guns, that's more like a witch hunt than effective police work.

I agree that what they do is needed, but imo they need to work on ways of identifying hoaxes sooner.

Oh, no doubt everyone thinks so, including them as they've apparently been trying to take precautions against swatting.

But otherwise, taking a gamble to research is essentially gambling with lives and not many of the 'civilized' countries are eager to make that wager.

I'd rather they take the chance that the threat be real and and it turns out to be fake, rather thinking a threat is fake when it isn't.

I'd never heard of it before, but swatting is fucked up. I just read this article on it and it's incredibly disturbing.

They've also swatted a streamer that looks like he's 13-14, Jesus fucking Christ.

In reality, all he's doing is pushing the same buttons he always has, nothing has changed. The longer he spends here, the more invested he gets, the more he forgets which life is the real one.

I personally think it's kind of funny, but that's just me it seems.

I agree with that, but the only possibility of bringing in a SWAT team was if you mentioned something like gunshots or bloody murder or something. So you'd have to be trying really hard to get your neighbors killed :scream:

Okay, gunshots, screaming... .... Do you recommend I say anything else?  I want to make sure this thing goes through for me....
