With the arrival of the Summer Steam Sale, which titles would you recommend? (Preferably titles on sale/you got on the sale, but anything on Steam goes, really)

I very highly recommend The Stanley Parable. It's hilarious, and when you pay attention to it it's also the smartest game I've played. It's delighfully self aware and has some great fridge horror.

As for pleasant surprises, I bought Wings of Vi on the sale and so far it's, as promised, hard as nails and incredibly fun. Ziggurat's also pretty nice.

I'll stop there because I don't want to end up recommending all of my library :p

I have bought:
>The Daedalic Armageddon Bundle
>Child of Light
>Torchlight II
>planetarian ~the reverie of a little planet~
>eden*
>Hateful Days pair: Analogue and Hate Plus
>The Way We All Go
>Pyrite Heart
>Unhack:Destruction
>Unhack
>Life Is Strangeâ„¢
>Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 Additional Content Pack 1
>Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation
>Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 Additional Content3
>Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1
>Sakura Angels
>Sakura Fantasy Chapter 1
>Nidhogg
>Portal Bundle

I plan on playing them all, but out of all of them, Memoria looks the most interesting (was in The Daedalic Armageddon Bundle).

Well, some of the games I currently got in the sale are: I haven't played much of them, but I am enjoying Tengami and HuniePop. As for Symphony, having some problems with the music library, but that's an easy fix.

Some games that I wanted to get, but don't have the money for are: I really want to get Grisaia, but I'm trying to wait for the uncensored patch to come, that should arrive sometime next month. Possibly at the end of this month.
Every game needs to be played at it's full potential in my opinion. I feel like I'm missing out when they censor things. But that's just me.

I got gifted by some lovely people:

* Valkyria Chronicles
* Long Live the Queen (very recommended btw)

I brought:

* Sunless Sea

I want (so far):

* Agarest bundle
* Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1
* Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2
* Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed

I'm waiting to close to the end of the sale to get those, cause I only have limited funds :/ I might not end up being able to get all of them. Gaben, why do you hate me.

From the Steam sale, I've bought:

The Binding of Issac: Rebirth (a pretty good game so far, glad that I picked it up)
Sunrider Academy (interesting spin-off VN, but I don't get any of the references)
The Fruit of Grisaia (haven't played it yet)

and I've sent out other copies of Issac to some friends. Along with that, I gifted a few games to strangers.

Croixleur Sigma is a great game. I think I got it on sale last year. Freedom Planet is nice too.

This week I got Exceed 3rd because it was the only thing that catched my eye that was cheap enough for me to buy using my wallet. I don't feel like paying for games while I have no job.

This sucks. However I've seen some pretty cheap games, Plants vs Zombies Game of the Year is only a dollar if you're looking for a casual game.

I was actually thinking about buying that game, Exceed. It's no Touhou, but it sure looks like it'll satisfy my bullet hell cravings.

Also, I saw Kurisu in this game, and it looks charmingly retro. Anyone have any thoughts on it?

Resurrecting this thread for the new year.

So far I've only bought Running with Rifles; it's a top-down shooter that casts you as one of those nameless allied/enemy soldiers you gun down in games like CoD. The Workshop mods are real nice too: Everything from WW1 to a Mass Effect total conversion.

I think I'll pick up Cities: Skylines. I played it a little during a free weekend and quite enjoyed it. I really want to get Anno 2070 but I hear uPlay's DRM makes it unplayable.

Ubisoft a shit.

I'd love to play Skylines, but it runs like total shit on my craptop. Last time I tried it, I think I got, like, 25 FPS, tops. Maybe there was some sort of postprocessing I forgot to turn off?

Ah well. Also, on an unrelated note, can you believe they're still charging over twenty buck for this shit? I love fanservice, so I'd pick it up for two, three; hell, maybe even five dollars if I was feelin' generous. At that rate, I'm surprised anyone's bothered to buy it at all.

Considering Dark Souls and Dishonoured since they're both only five bucks.

Some Dark Souls games run poorly on pc, especially if your video card is weak.
