You won't ever see anything like World War II or even something like the Korean War again. It's all proxy wars from here on out and things like WanaCry and the Dyn attack but on a much larger scale. The latter is what's likely to become more significant as computers are more and more integral to society.

So is Net Neutrality dead for real this time?

I must say I'm disappointed, but not surprised.

Not yet, but they're getting close to winning their reversal despite 20+ million filings. This is because of Pai now saying it's the quality, not quantity, and the majority of these filings in their docket doesn't seem to change their mind.

I'm still crossing my fingers, because once it gets passed into law and still don't know exactly when, this place and everywhere else we use to go to that we hold dear won't be around forever.

Bonus: I was browsing on 4chan around that time when the post occurred.

Things are gettin' real bad, real fast. It doesn't help that corporations pay big money for tremendously retarded articles decrying Net Neutrality.

What really gets me though is that despite the overwhelming majority of consumers (including most Libertarians, for Pete's sake!) being strongly in favor of Net Neutrality, our representatives continue acting purely in the service of private gain. This is, bluntly put, a spectacular failure of American democracy, and is symptomatic of larger issues with our political institutions themselves.

This is entirely expected, of course. Accumulation of material wealth is the greatest virtue under Capitalism, and it's in the rational best interests of ISPs to divvy up the web as they see fit. If anyone, Ajit Pai included, tells you otherwise, show him this image. And if that doesn't work, I'd recommend acquainting his head with the pavement.

Here are the results as of last week, there might be more comments coming, but in the end starting tonight, this will be used for their final 'weighing in' decision, in which they have to do it by law. Without the duplicates, there are only 1,794,159, with a 98.64% majority favoring net neutrality. Still, Pai will have the final say when the time comes.

Looks like the Senate is going to do the final vote hearing on Net Neutrality starting at 17:30 today. Pai still thinks he may have the majority votes, but we all hope he loses and gets fired from his job if the Democrats have at least 51% or more.
