So, lately thanks to the fact that I may be moving in a few months, ive been throwing around the idea of building a car to use while over there.
More specifically, A Nissan Silvia S14 Kouki....with a 2JZ swap..
Nothing too big, just a stock 2j, automatic as well.
I know there probably isn't experts here at lewd, but I was wondering about the possibility. Would it be too rough?
Heres what I drafted up some sleepless night.

S14 Kouki conversion rear. - $260
Carbon fiber blade trunk spoiler - $269
s14 Kouki half spoilers - $75
S14 roof spoiler - $65
S14 Kouki sideskirts - $229
WIDE D1 SERIES front fenders - $198
WORK vs-xx staggered rims. - $2,300 (yes im paying this much for fucking rims )
Anodized Purple Wheel Lug Nuts (nrg) - $24
Spyder LED Tail lights - $249
DRL Hi Power LED fog laps - $69
-- ENGINU --
Toyota 2JZ-GTE Engine VVTI + Auto Trans (pls, dont need manual, its a daily) -$1799

XFORCE VAREX UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROLLED 3" INLET CANNON SPORT MUFFLER $314

I should be able to sell most of the parts that come with the car, as its modified, so this is not the complete total.

Grand total so far - $17116
Of course, I wouldn't buy everything at once, and id get the parts gradually throughout as I work.
I also made a little mockup just to speculate how I think I wanted it to look.

This sounds like a great idea, and besides, better car = get around easier and all that good stuff.

Not sure where you're going to get that type of money though.

you'd save so much time and money just to cut the 2j swap unless you're gonna often use the extra umph

Edit: or unless you're just getting it to make a lot of cool noise which that's nice too

P.S here's some inspo 3:30 if you do get it

I want to do the swap for the nice bubbly torque down low, the 2J is excellent for cruising. And ofc, ive got the power when I need it.
(and that s15 is WAAAY over my skill level to build, looks nice though)

Not a great fan of either the 240SX, but the S14 kits make it look amazing. I think i might find an S14 for myself since they can be found cheap in my country (about US$3500 the highest bid) but otherwise the parts are pretty hard to find so it might be a pain in the ass tho.

Have you seen the prices on a real S14? They might come actually cheaper but again, the parts.

It does not look like a bad build. Looks clean. Personally, I think you should learn how to drive manual. Well for a daily car I don't think it would mean much difference.

I'm waiting for 2027 to roll around for the Nissan GTR R34 to have the ability to come to the US of A...

On the topic of cars, I'm stuck with my 1991 Toyota Tercel... This car just will never die! This one was an import and was built really good so... I'm stuck with it for another 5 or 8 years before I push it off the cliff.

I can drive manu'el but im not getting a stickshift trans for two reasons.
- R154s are expensive out the ass, the W58 is much cheaper in the first place
- Its a daily.

True, Tercels are rock cars.

Alright, so I own a few cars, I recently built an S13 with an LS1 swap, stuck a blower on there (had to do some frame work to get it to fit) and it dynos at ~380 with my shitty excuse for a tune. I love the car, but I don't use it as a daily driver,a nd I really wouldn't want to. Not because of the impracticality of it, or the fact that I have sunk more money into it than I really should have, but because, all in all, it is not a very comfortable car. With mods, it goes fast, but it is also noisy. Speaking of noise, the road noise with performance coil-overs is really not all that great either, and you will break your spine over every bump. The seats, if you actually want to use it on the track, will also be uncomfortable. I am rocking some recaro buckets that where modified by some bloke to fit taller people (I am just a tad over 1.9m) They fit me great, but they are not something I would want to ride around in on the way to work. Finally, if you are in a snowy climate like I am, a RWD car is really asking for death. My daily driver is a Subaru Legacy GT, which I hope to swap out for a modern WRX if I can find someone to buy my Miata.

where can I get any of these cars in TX, they're beautiful (besides the one that had one of the tires roll off while racing lmao).
