What is it?
Boku no HÄ«rÅ Academia (also known as My Hero Academia) is an ongoing Japanese shÅnen manga series written and illustrated by KÅhei Horikoshi. The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without superpowers in a world where they are the norm, but still dreams of becoming a superhero himself.
What's it about?
Do you remember the good ole' Jump days? If your weeaboo beginnings started anywhere like me, it was with the unholy trifecta of Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. Now I know we give 'em smack for being the weeaboo trash they are, but they weren't always bad. There's a reason they got popular, and the feeling you got when there weren't one million characters and pointless powers is what I get when I read Boku no
Okay, seriously. On to the next point.
The story follows your stereotypical nice guy protagonist, Midoriya Izuku, a sad sad kid born in a world where everyone has a super power... but him. His sad sad dream to become as great as All-Might, this world's Superman is obviously a pointless endeavor... OR IS IT? Being a Shounen manga, I can say the story isn't anything that hasn't been done before. BUT! It draws on the feelings that the Shounen genre has always been renown and appreciated for: good fights, interesting characters, developed world, and the power of darned friendship!
If you're looking for an easy read with plenty of potential, or a supernatural superhero romp with your childhood, Boku no Pico will get the job done.
[size=x-small]At this point it's not even a joke. I might as well tell you to watch Pico and be done with it.
Where can I read it?
Go to Batoto. They don't treat the scanlaters like trash and have nice HDesu.
