The 4th glorious president of Nintendo died on July the 11th. I'm literally fucking crying as I write this post. I never owned a Nintendo console (bar a DSi) but it makes me so upset to think that someone who bought so much to both people of old and new generations really tears me apart. I can't even begin to describe my sadness. This video [http://tinyurl.com/pfzkfjh]here just really overpowered my emotions.
I'll be upset over the next few days.

I know right? I found out about this yesterday actually from the gaming site that I follow.. second from hearing about it from my lady friend. Grim news indeed. Makes me wonder what's going to happen with Nintendo now.

I'm really hoping they make an Amiibo. I think it'll just be better that way.

I won't pretend I was a complete fan of Nintendo the entire time. I won't lie, I never played many of their games. But I won't forget that he was part of a company that, while taking many risks, inspired so many people and gave them dreams to look forward to.

R.I.P. Satoru Iwata.

You're a real hero.

I was thinking earlier today that making an amiibo of his mii and donating a portion of the profits to a related charity would be a pretty decent thing to do. I know i've seen a petition asking for an amiibo.

Yeah, I also found this out yesterday afternoon and was bummed out. I grew up a Nintendo fan, but drifted towards Sony when the PS1 released. Still, I never forgot. Iwata was one of the few higher-ups in the game industry who still believed games should be "fun" over all else. Given the poor state of the AAA market today, it's truly sad that someone who was passionate about games is no longer with us.

There goes a another great person that provided entertainment for everyone and the sad thing is that the newer generation will never know why he was so important to us all.

Rest in peace Satoru Iwata

It's sad to see him go. He was a fun guy who was passionate about what he did, and that's hard to see in the industry these days.
