Wow, these are great. My favourite is #6, I live it's composition for a really cozy feel.

Oh god, #6. I was actually stupidly drunk when I took that. I wanted to take a photo of the people in the back of the bar but my camera (on auto mode) kept focusing on the guy in front, so I eventually resigned and handed my camera to the barkeep...

I've been hikikomori for what was getting close to a decade. Photography is my somewhat recent method of attempting to escape it. It works quite well (although summer has been making finding motivation to walk around particularly difficult), and hopefully you all enjoy what I post here. They're taken with a Canon AE-1, 50mm lens on Kodak Colorplus 200 film.

It reminds me of a Hideaki Anno anime. He always uses still frames of power lines (or maybe urban landscapes in general) when transitioning scenes. Pretty prevalent in Serial Experiments Lain as well.

Glad you both like it. It's definitely one of my favourites.

Also, Anno/SEL was what I had in mind at the time. I have to constantly fight the urge of just shooting powerlines and wasting film because of how relaxing it can be. I might actually have a few more that I could share, once I have a look.

Here's another that I found of the same location I already posted. It isn't great, but I feel it has a stronger anime vibe to it. Also, can I get an F for my potentially dead Canon AE-1.

I tried my hand at "photography" recently, and currently waiting for the film to be developed! Hopefully there'll be something good on there, since the film and development cost over £30 altogether >.<

Thanks a lot! It really means a lot to know others are enjoying my photography. It's genuinely one of the main reasons I do it; I get to express myself in ways I otherwise struggle to. Also, the choice to use imgur and spoiler was intentional, I figured it was easier to view the images properly that way rather than embedding and having people opening them up to take up a large portion of the screen, if that makes sense -- probably not, given I'm a bit drunk now. I love this site, though. I love the niche little community, and I'm glad to support it with some fresh OC.

Alright, I promised I'd post something:

All taken on a Canon EOS 300. I can't remember the exact lens spec (not my camera, don't have it on me >.<), but it was most likely a 35-80ish mm zoom lens.

35mm Provia 100F

Ah, that kinda sucks. Hope it ends up working well for you.

Oh don't worry, it was listed as for parts/not working. The only issue with it (as far as i'm aware) is that it's missing a shutter curtain. That just means I can't take multiple exposures, can't remove the lens if there's a roll of film inside, and need to jam a screwdriver into the clippy part to release the lens. And I only have one lens for it anyway, so I don't think it'll be a problem.
