So, I've noticed that some users here know of the anime and manga, Owari no Seraph.
I wanted to watch it but I had to drop it because of Mika.

So I was wondering, how do you guys rate Owari? Do you like it? Do you hate it?
just wondering... :)

Ah finally I had to delete my old post because I posted this in the wrong lounge. D:

Finally somebody asked about it.
Well, I've watched it. At least the anime. ;) As much as I gotta admit, it falls under the split anime category, so they cut the action right in the middle. Even though, it was really enjoyable. As much as it's a generic shounen, with the main character constantly striving for power, I really really enjoyed it. Not to mention it has the best smug waifu of 2015, Shinoa. Combined with her voice actor it's a sight for sore eyes...
Well yeah. I don't regret watching it, and I'm still waiting for the second season to come out.

Hmm~ I really agree with you and it's a shame I can't watch it. But, with that said? What are your feelings on Mika?

Spoiler

I couldn't let my favorite character just kind of get kicked away by Shinoa...

I'm not sure how far you went with the series, so I won't spoil anything for you. That said, Mika is a really interesting character and while at first I didn't really understand his meaning to the series, after a certain scene it all started to make sense - and that's a part of why is this series such a good watch, because it covers some aspects of human nature and conflict.

Uncover at your own risk.

Spoiler

Mika appears throughout the whole season and is rather crucial to the plot advancement.

Ugh. I can't stand it. I tried watching a few episodes. It's too generic.

Ay mis. Is the manga any better? I'd be down with reading if it is.

Art is nice and I like the characters, but I do admit it tends to suffer from some cliches here and there. If you can get past that, it's a nice read.

I thought I'd report here because I can. c:

I recently took up to reading the manga, and I am happy with the latest chapter!
Honestly, if you haven't checked it out, please do!

I think you'd like it if you like action with a bit of romance.

The manga / anime also focuses on the bonding of family, and just character development in general. For one of the first times I've been at the edge of my seat while watching anmie, and just-
I can't explain it.

ok right now, for some reason I wrote the whole story of Owari no Seraph in form of carrots and cabbages. I don't know...
but seriously this somehow is spoilers too so xD
don't bother reading it- it's long
tl;dr pls

Spoiler

It's like- Imagine that you've grown up in a world full of carrots, and you are one of the said carrots. All you've ever known is to make more carrots and call it a bunch. (haha- because bunch is several, and family...) But one day the soil turned dry, and the cabbages suddenly arrived with weapons. The cabbages were much much stronger than the carrots. The fields the carrots lived in were destroyed, and the carrot children were captured, the adult carrots dead.
There, you (a carrot) woke up in a whole new place you've never seen before. Everything you once knew was destroyed. All you knew now was that you were cattle, and that the cabbages ruled the world.
Your fiber was taken by the cabbages daily.

You and your bunch of carrots tried to escape one day. But you were caught- Only you, a single carrot escaped.

Your world changed as you grew up from the wee 'lil carrot you once were. You made friends over time, and joined the carrot army. The world was slowly being re-built by the somehow remaining carrot survivors. Everything you used to know changed once more. You now know that the cabbages are evil and the carrots will somehow get their revenge.
You also want to get revenge on the cabbages for killing your bunch.

But then it turns out that your carrot brother, who sacrificed himself so you could escape is alive, as a mutated half carrot half cabbage.
You find out that your brother was forced to become half cabbage, but what's this? This is weird- Why is he on the cabbages side?

Wars happen, you fight for the carrot army while wanting to save your brother.
Wars happen, your brother fights for the cabbages while wanting to save you.
blah blah blah stuff happens, your brother and you are reunited for now, but wait- For god sake, he's dying already. He needs fiber or he'll die. You're the only carrot nearby, and you offer him your fiber. He refuses, he doesn't want to become a mutated vegetable. He doesn't want to become a cabbage somehow, I don't know how science works, this story is stupid.

Even if your brother is a mutant vegetable, he's your family. You're unsure how you feel about the vampires.
-end of recent chapter-

Alright, uhm. That happened. But seriously, this is how it feels. You feel as if you're the character, and after finding out things about the story in different point of views you don't know how to feel I guess
idk
im sorry.
