Hi all, just put libreboot on a new laptop that I bought for $60. It's a core 2 duo macbook 2,1. It was $60 because it had no battery or ram. Luckily I just so happened to have a few ram sticks laying around that were compatible. The battery I took from a relatives old macbook of the same model.

Was wondering what operating system you guys think I should put on it? Right now it's got arch, but I've been using arch for the last 5 or 6 years now and want something new, something exciting! All suggestions welcome as long as it runs on a x86_64 platform and isn't windows. :-p

if you want something exciting, i'd recommend plan 9. though it'd take some time to get used to.

If you really want something new and exciting (read: you'll have to package 50 packages yourself before you can get a desktop up because it's so new) there's agunix: http://agunix.org/
