So I took the advice of practically everyone here and got my nose into a manga. Due to alot of supporters of Fullmetal I went with this to start. No, I have not finished I am still currently captivated in reading it. I'd just like to say so far I am loving every part. For those who read this don't spoil it for me I am only on chapter 8. Thanks to those who brought me to it and gave me something to keep me busy. :)

@Mac thanks I am currently reading the anime although I have not yet watched the anime. I followed the advices of everyone here. Alot of people suggested I take up Fullmetal Alchemist. I am surprised that I was able to enjoy it. I was never rwally a comic lover but a book lover. But I see now its still as compelling as a good book.

Good manga. Well plotted. You can tell the author had most of it planned out when she started, which is more than I can say for a lot of mangaka. Solid place to get started if you don't know your manga that well. Who's your favourite character so far?

Haven't started this one yet, but based on the posts here and recommendations from friends I'll definitely give FMA a try! I've only heard good things about it - some even say the Brotherhood anime is a classic. :tehe:

Yea so far I am hooked. I really love his little brother Alphonse. I find it funny how his little brother is a huge knight in armor and looks really badass but has the softest heart like a cuddling bear. hehehe this could change of course as I read through the manga. I really am happy to the person who suggested this to me. Definitely a good read for first time Manga reader to catch on.
