I'm not super sure whether or not this board is specifically for video games or not, but here goes nothing.

Does anybody here play?
Do you play online or with paper?
What are your favorite formats, colours, or cards?
besides thread primer questions, feel free to talk about anything related to the game here.

I'm kind of addicted to the game at the moment. I just attended the Battle for Zendikar pre-release a week or so ago. My friends play a lot of Commander together on Fridays at our LGS, which is really fun. I was thinking about getting into modern too...
To answer my own questions, I play mainly on paper but sometimes on Cockatrice, My favorite colours are white and red, and my favourite card is probably Stoneforge Mystic.
links to my commander decks here.

I started playing MTG about 13 years ago when I was still in middle school, and for a while it was pretty much the only thing I'd ever spend my money on. My friends and I didn't quite know all the rules correctly, so we would just use our own interpretations for some of the cards. After about 3-4 years none of my friends or I really played anymore, so I gave my cards away to some kids down the street. Now I only play it online via Steam, as it's far cheaper than trying to constantly assemble my own decks via physical booster packs. I'm finding that I actually enjoy the electronic version a lot more, because it's pretty much impossible to cheat or misinterpret the rules.

Right now I only own Magic 2014 on Steam because Magic 2015 got some pretty terrible reviews by players, so I've been hesitant to buy that one. (if anyone here plays it and thinks otherwise to recommend it, I'm all ears) I also own Magic 2013 on Xbox 360, but I don't have XBox Live anymore so I can't play that online.

I've always primarily used red and green decks, as I like the attack power they provide. I've never been that good with black decks, but they sure are a pain in the ass to fight against... I do like white and blue decks but I just don't really use them as much. I can't really remember any specific cards that I like off the top of my head, but I really dislike cards that provide abstract win conditions.

And in case you haven't heard already, the online card game Hearthstone now has a nude mod for PC. Click here for details!

I used to own some cards and play with my close friends, but we got bored pretty quickly because we played against the same decks over and over.
I find playing on paper is far more interesting than playing online, mainly because of the community and card collection aspects. The big problem however is to find these communities , which is not easy depending of the place you live ...

I have one question though . How does the Magic game on Steam work ? Is it similar to , uuh let's say Hearthstone? (you can buy boosters with ig money or real money if you want to go fast)
Take it easy

I was really into the game in highschool and a few years after that but got bored of the game and sold most of my cards. All I have now is 1 Johira EDH deck.

> You are missing a period and you failed to capitalize the first word of your sentence.

this is the internet, neither punctuation nor capitalization are required.
english, however, is required if you want people to understand what the fuck you're saying.
