I know lots of people like dark themes, but many others hate them. It's killing my eyes going from these forums to basically any other site, or even the reply page for that matter. I guess I could always just modify the CSS myself if I ever stop being lazy.
Just a suggestion. Heck, I'd even be okay with the software's default theme.

here's a thrown together incomplete light theme. when i find issues and find better solutions to some of the things that are outstanding i'll come back and update it.

Code:
@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

@-moz-document domain("lewd.sx") {
   /* White Back */
  .the_menu > ul > li a:hover, input.textbox, section.category ul.row li:first-of-type, #postNav, select, textarea, .codeblock
    {
      background: none;
      background-color: #FFF;
    }

  .profile_header
  {
    background: rgba(255,255,255,0.8);

  .button[value="Join Group"]

  .button[value="Create a Group"]

Yes, maybe the option to switch between a light and a dark theme. I know that it's a lot of work but reading white text on a black screen in the night is quite annoying.
Then we would have a lightswitch.
heh.

AFAIK, as the new lewd theme is using a preprocessor, it wouldn't be too hard to share almost all of the code between the two theme versions, just change a few variable declarations.

i do actually plan on doing a light theme, which as you've said, wont be difficult to do.

i'd rather finish the dark theme before i start considering how i'll do the light theme though.

i'll just write my own css for the site anyway so no big. figured i'd check to see if i could mostly prepare a light version before release.
