Here is the tenth issue of the Lewd News, written by the Writers group.

Sorry it's a little late again. People were busy again.

anime
by @Kiss of Death

Third strike, you're out!
After the huge success of the first season and mixed reviews of the second, Funimation (or rather - their brother company, GameSamba, responsible for mobages) announced a third season to come in 2016. What anime is it? Tokyo Ghoul. It will be coming beside the mobile game they're working on. No additional details have been revealed yet... and that's worrying me. I can't quite forget the disaster Tokyo Ghoul: Root A turned out to be. Then again, the ending of that anime suggested a third season to come, leaving a huge opening for it in the last episode (which is also correct with the manga).

Uhh, yeah.. right...
Sword Art Online. Heard of it? If by some chance you haven't, it's a TV series featuring Kirito, an overpowered male character, exploring a variety of virtual MMOs, starting with the one which was a full-fledged survival game with many casualties. The only thing worth watching about this title is the very first game thatI already mentioned, the rest of it was... I'll just skip that. So, Sword Art Online is getting an anime film. It's not yet revealed what it will feature - aside from the fact it's going to be a new anime work - but remembering how the series went, I'd rather leave it alone.

Direct Link! 2!
Accel World is getting a new anime. It will be called Accel World: Infinite Burst. Now, that's it for the good news. For the bad news... The anime will revolve around a brand new story written by the original creator of the series, featuring both recurring and new characters. Which means... they're not planning to patch up the original anime and justify its plot holes, get back to the original plot or anything of the sort. They're just making a new anime in the same setting. Which is... not so good.

Editor's note: Nana submitted this week's piece in the form of three images, I regretfully decided that the images would be pretty difficult to read on a mobile device and re-wrote them as text, you can view the original images here, here, and here.

Konami has filed for a patent for a new pachinko machine arm. This patent is for a "Big Boss" arm. Whether that means the arm will bear likeness to Big Boss's red bionic arm, or it simply shares the name is still to be
determined. One thing we can be sure of? Everyone will finally get the metal gear game they've been waiting for! ...as long as that game is a pachinko machine... and they live in Japan.

Now keeping with Konami, oh how we love Konami, it's long been suspected that they have ties to the Yakuza. Konami is knee deep in the pachinko machine business and the Yakuza control a significant portion of pachinko parlors. This next bit of news all but confirms these allegations. Konami has officially started selling "protection" in Metal Gear Solid 5. The game features a mode which allows other players to raid each other's bases and steal their supplies. This "protection", sold as a micro-transaction, will make it so that stolen supplies and people are automatically replaced. What's that little boy? Some one kidnapped your medical officer and you can no longer produce medicinal items? Ah, that's too bad. Sounds like someone didn't pay their protection!

On a more light hearted note, Ubisoft has announced that Micro Machines will be featured in the upcoming Assassin's Creed game! These beloved tiny cars from the early 90s will be racing their way back into our hearts and homes!

UPDATE: The new Assassin's Creed game will not feature Micro Machines, but will feature micro-transactions. We apologize for the confusion.

@mis offers a bonus story this week. Reddit user DoctorDestructo reports that his Collector's Edition of Heroes Might & Magic didn't come with all that was advertised. Rather than containing a physical disk of the game, it only had a digital download code. Upon contacting Ubisoft for a refund, they activated his digital code against his will, and then refused a refund because it had been activated. This link shows a screenshot with a play-by-play account of the incident: http://imgur.com/a/UNKmT

Issue #10: Robb Bank$ - Year of the Savage

The new Robb Bank$ album just dropped and the Flordia native can finally say that he has yet another full length LP under his belt. In just 4 short years this rapper has fast tracked his ride to fame with help from his fellow friends and members of Raider Klan, led by the one and only SpaceGhostPurrp. This new album contains nothing but what you'd expect from the one and only with hard hitting tracks such as the track 'Half Bae' with longtime friend Pouya, or the simple but superb single 'PRESSURE', which has racked up almost 700K plays in just over a month. All in all the album is great for what it is, another hard hitting collection of tracks from the veteran himself.

Liquid Cooling Moves onto the Chip for Denser Electronics
news.gatech.edu Wrote:Using microfluidic passages cut directly into the backsides of production field-programmable gate array (FPGA) devices, Georgia Institute of Technology researchers are putting liquid cooling right where it’s needed the most – a few hundred microns away from where the transistors are operating. Combined with connection technology that operates through structures in the cooling passages, the new technologies could allow development of denser and more powerful integrated electronic systems that would no longer require heat sinks or cooling fans on top of the integrated circuits. Working with popular 28-nanometer FPGA devices made by Altera Corp., the researchers have demonstrated a monolithically-cooled chip that can operate at temperatures more than 60 percent below those of similar air-cooled chips.

Source.

IS ON-DIE LIQUID COOLING GOING TO BECOME A THING NOW? Maybe. All this means is that Georgia Institute found a way to directly touch the die with cooling fluid. Most water cooled solutions use water to touch blocks of copper or nickel-plated copper to dissipate heat into the coolant. Georgia skipped that process and went straight to cooling the cpu die with coolant. Pretty kickass.

Nvidia might phase out 2GB GTX 960 in favour of 4GB version

kitguru.net Wrote:This week the rumor mill is churning out some news about Nvidia’s budget friendly GTX 960 graphics card. According to an add-in board partner source, Nvidia wants to reduce product supply of the 2GB GTX 960 and eventually only offer a 4GB version. This move could potentially put the GTX 960 in a better position competitively while also being more attractive to buyers.
According to a new report, Nvidia is looking to shuffle around its budget GPU offerings a bit, right now the green team has the 2GB GTX 950, 2GB GTX 960 and 4GB GTX 960 sitting in the £129.99 to £199.99 price bracket. Removing the 2GB GTX 960 would clean things up a bit and potentially convince more people to spring for the 4GB GTX 960.

Source.

I really have no idea why Nvidia is doing this. The 960 is the perfect card for medium 1080p gaming at 60fps. The next step up is the 970, which has ~4 gigs of vram. The 960 has 2 gigs of vram with a lower end gpu die. 4 gigs of vram is perfect for playing more graphics intensive games like GTA5 and MGS5. Anyways, this will lower the price of the 970 once again making my model cheaper and cheaper. Crap.

Fallout 4 Size And Recommended Specs Released

wccftech.com Wrote:28-35GB of space on a console for an extremely dynamic world with updated textures and a tremendous amount of dialogue and other assets isn’t so bad, and is actually quite surprising.
Also in the blog post we learned that the game will be unlocking on a rolling release schedule set at 12:01 AM on November 10th in every time zone. Fallout 4 will be available in Asia on the 11th at 12AM however and on December 17th at 12AM in Japan. This means some will get to play it before others.
If you were curious when you’ll be able to play with the Pip-Boy companion app (even if you don’t have the collectors edition with a physical Pip-Boy phone dock), that’ll be available starting on November 10th right along with the release of Fallout 4.
And don’t forget that the Xbox One and 360 controllers will be fully plug-and-play supported just in case you wanted to to do that. Also, I’d imagine that the forthcoming Steam Controller will also work, though it’s not even out yet. Now we just need VR support. I wonder if VorpX will release a profile for Fallout 4 sometime shortly after release?

League Of Legends World Championship Will Be Streamed By BBC

kitguru.net Wrote:As eSports moves further into the mainstream, the BBC has announced it will provide an online stream of the League of Legends World Championship. BBC Three will provide live coverage of the championship's quarter finals beginning October 15 and the coverage will last for four days.
To provide commentary while the matches are taking place, the BBC has brought in casters Leigh "Deman" Smith and James "Stress" O'Leary. The BBC says it will be covering the tournament in the same style as any other live sports event. It will use a combination of "live video, prerecorded video, text, audio, and social commentary."
Of all the competitive video games, League of Legends is more popular than pretty much any of them. It has 70 million monthly players and 27 million daily players.

Source.

This really caught my eye. First off because League of Legends was being broadcasted on BBC. BBC is where I read much of my news (besides Al Jazeera). I had no idea that they would even think of broadcasting competitive LoL. This really shows how progressive the news giants are now. Leigh "Deman" Smith and James "Stress" O'Leary are the announcers. Both of which I have never heard of, probably because I have never watched any competitive League of Legends before. I'm most a Counter Strike and Call of Duty kind of guy.

Ubisoft is clearly descending into the pile of trash companies that continue to shit on their customers. Perhaps EA can come take its place? They seem to be improving imo.
