Hi, I have a small suggestion which might make the site look slightly better in certain threads.

I'm sure some of you have noticed when posting a wallpaper, or a big image it will strect out the whole thread due to it's wide size. It's actually been kind of bothering me a little. But I've seen other forums which have this functionality which automatically resizes big images to prevent the page from getting stretched. With the help of a thumbnail, and by pressing the thumbnail you'll get redirected to the full image.

I suppose something like http://lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/

Or the following plugins/methods for mybb.

Consider this suggestion!

Good idea. I prefer Lightbox.

It would also be useful if you could click on the image and it would like, do the thing that Lightbox does when you click on the pictures on that site.

It looked pretty neat.

I've always found that resizing the images and then making the image either open in a lightbox or open the next page ends up conflicting with threads.

Not that I'll ever allow them here, but a prime example is sales threads, where the thread is primarily a large image with a link wrapped around it. Clicking the link should take you to their actual link, but it instead opens the image in a new window.

If you added a expand button under the thumbnail, then the link sould still work. The thumbnail could still be large enough to see the image unless someone wanted to download the full size.
The third link in OP shows this code.

IIRC, this thread was made because of Firefox not listening to the max width of images and blowing out the width of pages by large amounts whenever a large image was posted.

This has since been resolved.

What's the exact resolution for the cover photo on your profile? I've been quite curious.

My guess is that it's 1390x275. It's the current res I'm using for the cover photo and I think I'm pretty close to getting it.

at the moment it's (anything over 1080) x 400. I'll be making it a lot simpler soon
