Okay so I am a big Kit Kat lover, and I have been dying to try all the different flavors that the Japanese have to offer. Problem is, they are so darn expensive to import? The ones that we have down here at Japanese stores and International stores are pretty expensive a bag too. But I have recently heard they have a brand new flavor out called Smooth Sake Kit Kats. One of the Japanese new sites called NariNari says that the flavor will mix "chocolate with the mellow body and smooth aftertaste of sake." I don't know, about you, but I'm definitely interested in trying it. I don't drink, but I think the flavor will be interesting. What's your take on it?

I've had sake and I don't know. It's bitter.
Wonder how that would taste as a kitkat though....

I so rarely have Kit-Kats, but they're pretty much my favorite chocolate in the world. @-@ Any flavor would be nice to try. You say it's pretty expensive a bag, but how about individually? It's not like you need to eat 10 to taste them.

But do you ever see kitkats being sold individually? Well at least the rare ones like OP posted?

Jbox.com is a great place to buy snacks like strange Japanese flavored kitkats etc and they do sell them individually - There's also Blippo.com and JapanCrate.com both of whom offer subscription boxes with neat new candy from Japan to try each month - I believe Blippo also sells their candies individually too :)

I've not tried any of them because I'm worried about either Radiation effects and/or Government regulations which may not be as strict overseas. - I'm a picky eater lol. Not that I think US government is all that great either - but yeah, Radioactive candy does not sound healthy lol.

Nope, was just assuming it'd make more sense from a seller's perspective to sell them individually, too, if they're so expensive o.o

Well yeah, but there are a lot of people in my house and when we try things out everyone wants one. I don't see myself buying an individual bar and breaking everybody off a piece, I'm not Charlie Bucket. :p

And yeah I've tried Japan Crate, but being that it is a subscription box, you can't really guarantee what you get. But yes there are some places that sell the individuals, usually like a $1 a piece.

Ohh, no, I understand that. I thought you were the only one eating them, is all.

LOL, nope we have a house of adventurous yet regretful folks. They want to try whatever I buy, and a lot of times regret it afterwards because they don't like it. Like Mochi, everyone wanted to try it, but then no one liked it but me. They waste my goodies. :/

Seriously? O.O I had no idea! I think I'm going to go make myself hungry by checking out all of the unique flavors you guys have that we here in USA don't have...which is pretty much everything.

^ I'm in Australia, but there's also an extremely limited assortment of flavors here.

It's sad we don't get as many flavors in our countries, isn't it? I don't get why if there are so many more flavors why we still only have the basics. Perhaps they don't think they will sell?

I'm assuming that it is more expensive to get them in stock, because it is likely that only the basic flavors are produced close to or inside our countries, whereas the special flavors might only be produced in select parts of the world and thus are more difficult and expensive to attain for stores.

Yeah, that makes a lot more sense than what I was thinking. Still a bummer though. :/
