So is anyone else surprised that people are dumb enough to vote to leave the eu?  :sigh:

I think it is a good choice to be honest, we benefit much more by leaving. In Media Studies we have been talking about it for the last few months but it was most likely set up for us to leave.

It will take at least 2 years for the UK to leave the EU.

Also take a look at this:

London people are against it. Why? because most of them work in the EU and probably will need to apply on Visas and more bureaucratic crap.

london people are against it because the cost of living there is quite high, meaning only the wealthier and more educated can afford to live there => smarter choice was made, unfortunately it wasn't enough
rural areas voted to leave because their people's education stems from their tv, "leaving the eu is going to save us tons of money and make you rich!!!" top meme

Seduced by Trump's ideal of "Make UK Great Again". I wonder how many countries will leave after this.  :sigh:

I mean, GB is probably one of the only countries that actually put money into the EU, and a considerable amount, plus they were taking in all kinds of immigrants because they kinda had to.
By leaving the EU, now they aren't always forced to put money into it, so it can be put towards the country now, and they can have proper immigration laws.

which is bad how? more workforce and population to sustain a low birthrate country sounds like a sweet deal

once again nice meme, if you think the uk hasn't profited a ridiculous amount from being in the eu (through funds for various projects as well as trade agreements) to outweigh any investment they had to make then you should do more research
and if you think london is going to invest any potential 'saved money' into any part of the country which is not london you're delusional, scotland and ireland are on the verge of leaving because they know that the eu provides way more for them than england would ever consider, ESPECIALLY if banks now consider moving to france/germany

unfortunately the british interpretation of proper immigration laws is "stay the fuck out"

And while they may no longer have to pay the EU a subscription fee they'll probably end up spending more on the new shit ton of trading taxes they're going to get whenever they want to trade in EU. Which while in short term will save money is going to screw them over in the long term. "they can have proper immigration laws." - The British are conservative as fuck. Their immigration laws are basically, a) you're rich b) you're born in UK otherwise gtfo.

"From the perspective of others I am part of the world, but when I observe the world from my perspective I am nowhere to be found. To observe is to create perspective. I can never cease to be the point of origin from my perspective. I observe that which is not myself. This is the first principle to find." - Ergo Proxy

GB is one of the largest countries in the EU and tons of immigrants live there, not sure if britons actually put money in the EU but i'm sure what GB does influence ALL the other countries, this will be a hard test for the other big members of the EU like Germany, France, Italy to show other smaller countries that leaving the EU is not a good option.

I'm not sure how this will impact in other regions' economy because GB's output is not that great.

yh we pay the eu £350 million a week, nigel farage said it would be put towards the NHS however he has now come out and said he wont, so thats alot of peoples votes wasted as i know a lot of people who voted simply because of that -_-

If you vote to stay in then you are an absolute idiot. The EU should not decided the UK's policies, that's why we have a government to do that for us.

Also the EU are just continually draining resources, although the UK will suffer short term the long term will be either the same or better.

That's not true, Farage never promised to put the money into the NHS, he said it could be put into the NHS, he isn't chancellor, he can't tell us where to spend money, that much is obvious.

But the EU is only a big common market and helps EU citizens to choose wherever they want to live without applying for a visa. I guess what mewsoup said is true..
