Hi everyone! I'm new here.

Today I was looking for new *nix forum, because reddit isn't convenient for me. So I found lewd.sx and the community seems very interesting.
I have interest in computers, Linux, vim editor, programming and similar things. Sometimes I watch anime and enjoy listening different music(metal, piano, acoustic guitar, classical, ambient, etc).
Also I hope get some practice in English here.

In other words, I wanna have some fun together with you. :3

I hope so. You can find my nvim config and other stuff in my bitbucket repo here. Of course, it needs some fixes if you plan to write real code and work with projects, but lately I'm using nvim only for editing config files and learning C.

Welcome to the community 0rdy; we have a surprisingly large amount of tech discussion for an anime forum.

You say you have an interest in computers, but can you even install gentoo?  Do you use CentOS for your everyday-OS?

Welcome!

Currently I'm using Void Linux after leaving Gentoo, because I have no fun to compile programs on my desktop now. It's been almost two years since I started looking for other disto. Void seems simple and clear. In past years I have a lot experience with many Linux distributions, such as Gentoo, Slackware, Crux, Fedora, Debian, Arch, etc and even FreeBSD.
Eventually installing Gentoo isn't too difficult thing, so I can install Gentoo on my PC at any time.

Did not expect that, that's pretty awesome actually. No problem :D
Speaking of, I want to [eventually] revive that thread, or make a new one. Especially since there's more members that work with *nix based operating systems now than there was then.

I've used "old" Arch(before removing aif has and no systemd yet) about a year. Void looks extremely comfortably for me now, but he has small packages base(~6k packages). I don't recommend to switch Arch, if you currently use a lot of packages from AUR. So better check necessary programs at Void website.

Do you want to use GUI settings or more specific things? If you want GUI and you have enough courage you can try Pavucontrol with Pulseaudio.
Fortunately I have external audio card E-MU 0204 and I didn't get any problems with it except setting card priority.

My issue is that I need this (bass boost):

EQs just make the audio muffled...
