Code:
group_shota
and
Code:
group_unorganized
for example allows individual customization but makes modifying the css style for all groups at once a hassle

there are some inline styles on the group page for
Code:
.button[value="Join Group"]
and
Code:
.button[value="Create a Group"]
that could do with not being inline

the color property on
Code:
.button.new_thread_button, .button.new_reply_button, .button.rate_user_button
is !important for whatever reason

inline styles are there because of lazyness, and there's no use changing them with the new theme right around the corner.

it's been "right around the corner" for a couple months now. you seem to be working on valve time.

sorry that irl comes first ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i don't see you doing anything productive while complaining about me not finishing a theme.

"muh irl" is not an excuse to lie to people. He's complaining because the new theme was right around the corner even when I had just joined the site.

an incorrect estimation is a lie now? i even explained why i wasn't releasing it in >>31959, where i said that i wasn't happy with the state of it and didn't feel it was quite ready for releasing. Every incorrect estimation has been followed up by a reason as to why it was an incorrect estimation.

lmao, sometimes shit happens, something you're supposed to learn after experiencing life.

In the exact same post you said you'd be able to get the theme in a releasable state within the next day, another incorrect estimation. An incorrect estimation by almost a month now, which is a ridiculously big margin. Don't try telling me that you didn't have any time during that period. And even if you didn't have time you should have owned up to it and apologised for breaking a promise >>31628 , instead of telling us that the new theme is "right around the corner" and becoming angry when someone calls you out.

I'm cutting this off right now because we're getting off topic and stuff, you can send me a PM if you want to.

not even gonna bother PM'ing you because there's no point, you'll continue to throw your illogical thinking at me, and ignoring anything i say, just gonna point this out:

>>33424
> I have lacked time and motivation over the last few weeks
> and motivation

now let me ask, would you feel motivated to work on a theme for a site where the only people that complain about the theme not being done are immature toss pots that constantly try to cause drama?

Y'all two need to chill out. In fact, everyone needs to chill out.

Returning to the matter at hand, it would be nice, being able to easily tweak different aspects of the CSS. Sparklies for everybody! ^^

*hugs senpai* i know i'm not really part of the discussion, but... take your time, okay? it's better to take a while for something you're completely happy with it than rush out something unfinished. sorry for butting in; i just wanted to say that. <3

You don't want to pm me so you'll just reply instead? Explain to me how my thinking is illogical, at the very least I'll learn something right?

The fact that you weren't motivated doesn't take anything away from that you said you'd have the new theme finished a month ago. Nice going with the name-calling though.

I agree, you should take your time for the things you need to do. Now that we've found some common ground let's just stop discussing this stuff and move on :)

Might as well make it something public, so that there's no misconceptions coming from other users.

> Explain to me how my thinking is illogical

You insist that I somehow lied to everyone, and refuse to listen to reason.

> The fact that you weren't motivated doesn't take anything away from that you said you'd have the new theme finished a month ago.

No it doesn't, and for that I'll apologise. Even though I do have reasons for taking so long, I shouldn't have announced things so early.

> Nice going with the name-calling though.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck; it's most likely a duck.

I don't think I've stated that you're lying to EVERYONE, whether that's the case or not I don't know. But what I do know is that in post >>31628 you stated that you'd be releasing the theme that weekend, which is in fact, a lie. Now that I've proven the point you wanted me to make can we please cut it off already?

Thank you for apologising though.

That doesn't suddenly make it not a lie , that wasnt an estimate, you explicitly stated that you were going to release it. I'm not the one things aren't getting through to.

It makes it a broken promise, not a lie.
A lie would be an intentionally false statement and except if you want to say Senpai was planning this all along, isn't applicable in this situation.

since you want to continue it, i'll put together a couple of imaginary scenarios for you.

>you are heading to work, you've told your boss that you'll be in by 9am

>you're held up in traffic and are thus running a little late

so you lied to your boss?

or

>you're working on a project for a customer, you tell them you think it'll take you three days

>on the third day you realise there's quite a lot you haven't taken into consideration, you tell the customer that it might take a bit longer than expected

would you have lied to your customer? or would it have been an estimation error?

a lie is not where you've said you'd do something and been unable to do it, a lie is when you've said something deliberately untrue.

A broken promise then. It doesn't make a difference because we get what the other person is saying.

First scenario: you broke the promise and you'll have to apologise before your boss. If you do this too often you should prepare to get fired or something.

Second scenario: you don't tell them you think it'll take 3 days, you tell them "it'll be done in 3 days" instead. You tell them it'll take a bit longer, and then you do it again, and then you do it again. A month has passed by now. Damn right your customer is going to be at least a little bit tipped off at that point. Because that's a pretty big estimation error at that point.

Anyway, it doesn't even matter anymore because the new theme is right around the corner, right?

And I'm sorry for getting those two things mixed up. Truth is that the theme has been "around the corner" for a looong while now.

And it's impossible for me to prove the difference between if that was a broken promise or if you were lying.

it's seemingly pretty obvious to everyone but you
