Do you even use cloud services or do you prefer to have everything locally? If you aren't stuck in the stone age, then what cloud service(s) do you use and why?

Personally I use Google Drive and Dropbox mainly, for two different types of uses. Google Drive is so tightly integrated with Google Office which is something I used for everything from school work to writing out random theories on my favorite series. Dropbox is what I mainly use when I upload and share files with others as well as backing up files that I want to keep in-case my local storage goes to hell. Dropbox is also useful as there are a lot of services that connected with it so you can upload directly from it, or back-up directly to it. (MyAnimeList/HummingBird for example.)

It was too late for me, my drive died last week. What I managed to salvage I have been trying to use a cloud storage to keep safe, but the one I tested out was taking like 24 hours to upload it to the storage. I was trying surdoc because they give you 300GBs of free space, and I usually have a lot of stuff to keep.

I love them and hate them. Useful for school work and other documents.

But I don't like the fact that its in someone elses hand under a ToS.

I don't like cloud storage. I personally have everything on my drives which I have.... Multiple.... copies of. Just in case :D

"From the perspective of others I am part of the world, but when I observe the world from my perspective I am nowhere to be found. To observe is to create perspective. I can never cease to be the point of origin from my perspective. I observe that which is not myself. This is the first principle to find." - Ergo Proxy

I need a new one now that mine is dead. Until I can get one I have to try and use a cloud storage. Usually I don't bother with them. I'm going to get a TB drive this time so I won't have to worry about anything and I might get two. The other would be a backup so I don't encounter this again.
