If you dont already know, the RX 480 is AMDs newest chipset codename "Polaris" created with a 14nm process. There are 36 compute units and 2,304 stream processors running at a base clock speed of 1,120MHz and a boost speed of 1,266MHz. All this without a huge power draw; the RX 480 is rated at just 150W.

Its performance is equivalent to a GTX 970 at a super sweet price of $200 USD

It has a nice design as well <3

Nice feature: Thanks to the software Wattman, user can manage frequencies, voltage, fans and temperature.

It never fails to surprise me how much of a gap there is between the GTX900 and GTX1000 series. o-o RX480 looks like a good card, but I actually expected a little more, to be honest.

The price is the answer. This is not a top tier card.

Of course, but even so, you can get a used GTX970 for only about $50USD more. I wasn't so much expecting more based on price, but based on the hype the card had. Well, regardless, I'm sure a lot of budget users will appreciate it.

I'm not a fan of buying used hardware because of bad experiences, it's not that i don't trust sellers or people.. it's a trauma from generations (started with my older brother), anyway if you sell your GPU you can always get a newer one investing a little more money so it's no big deal i guess.
