Before continuing, i like to establish some rules. I know it's sorta rude but that's how the BEMANI crowd rolls. (And keep us safe from Konami and their meanie lawer team)
1.- DO NOT ask for AC Rips. If you know where to get them but you can't enter, then good for you. Wait for an invite. There's always workarounds for playing normally (CS releases, LR2, StepMania, iPad apps, going to the arcade etc.)
1b.- IMPORTANT: Oftenly you will find AC Rips, mostly from chinese trackers, etc. If you find them then:
- Do not play your rips in public places like anime cons, etc. (Think: If you can't play with your pants on there, it's probably no good)
- Avoid publishing stuff like videos or stuff on SNS, while IIDX and pop'n are fairly okay in closed social networks as Facebook, stuff like Instagram and Twitter are more open, avoid Twitter at all costs) and regarding DDR (Probably the most dangerous stuff everywhere) avoid posting pics or videos WHATSOEVER (DDR is going for an american loctest right now) App screenshots like RB+, jubeat plus or pop'n rhythm (for iPhone and iPad) are okay.
- DO NOT STREAM unless it's private. We had this f*cker streaming SDVX on Twitch, please do not do it. Staff finds this kind of stuff. Don't do it.
- If you want to dickwag scores, you're welcome here to do so. YT or DM videos must be set to private as well as external image links. Pictures taken directly from the arcade machines do not follow this rule.

2.-If you want a sows/psun invite, you must:
- Prove you're wise enough to get one. (You'll soon find out why)
- Be a fresh user. I won't invite previously banned users/users who already have an account.
- Have a valid reason to have one.

- Must not be a shitposter (Seriously tho, the community is gonna eat you alive if you do so)

If you don't meet any of the requirements above, then you can't have one at least from me, sorry.
3.- It's okay if you talk about simulators WHO EMULATE ANY BEMANI GAME, games like Pump it Up, Osu! or EZ2DJ/DJ MAX don't fall under this category.
4.- If you want something like Booklets, OSTs and stuff, just ask. I'll try to get 'em as soon as possible.

Does anyone here play BEMANI? If that's so then report here. Drop your E-Amusement or psun ID's. Drop any thoughts on these games. If you have any inquiries on how to play your stuff or regarding anything BEMANI, feel free to ask.

I was wondering when someone would post a rhythm game thread.

Anyways I've been trying to git gud but I still can't get over there being more than 4 keys, and the scratch disk is a pain. Also appears toy LR2 skills don't translate that well to beatmania.

To get better, learn to pinky scratch. Also try playing some Kaiden or Step Up Mode if you have the AC Rip.

Nice 4's and 5's to level up.

- Golden Cross (GOLD CS)
- Echo of Forever (Tricoro AC)
- Anything Handz Up/J-Dance Pop from Ryu*/HHH and the likes.
- Love is Eternity (10th Style)
- Smell Like This (Early games)
- Time to Air (CS/AC Troopers)

I'm quite a fan of bemani games and such but never got around playing them even though I was thinking of ordering a custom controller shame I didn't actually gave it a try

All I have are LR2 BMSs along with a PS2 beatmania controller.

At most I can handle right now are no higher than 5, and even then I struggle with level 4 tracks.

Good lot of IIDX BMS although they're scattered.

Thanks for the link.
Hopefully this'll be more manageable than fan made BMSs.

tbh they get to be really expensive, look for a USKOC or JKOC. They're not cheap but otherwise it's way cheaper than getting other brands, and have in mind that you will have to mod them in order to play AC rips or LR2, PS2 to PC adapters tend to lag A LOT.
Aftermarket controllers are expensive, while VIRGOO/Rainbows are pretty decent (SDVX VIRGOO is godsend), DJ DAO is the top of line. It's not safe to buy 'em tho, the high price+the 2 month wait could get anyone unsafe, but there hasn't been any issues to it since and they always bring high quality Omron/Sanwa buttons for lagless input, also they're customizable. If you opt for a controller like this, try to get a used one.

They are fairly quickly to install.

Well, here you have a thread to fangirl about BEMANI all day.

To the point you can't clear anything with C or above. There's a lot of stuff to clear lag off but i recommend making your controller native.

Bump.

Anyone made it to the IIDX INIFINITAS? I was on both and 2nd alpha was pretty dissapointing. Songlist was shrinked and shit.

Man, that's pretty lame. I didn't even try to get in, due to lack of motivation or something. Pretty exciting stuff I think, though.

Not as it could sound tbh, it was the same as usual with just some minor changes to the system sounds and some other options as dual-binding for keys.
