I'm quite happy with my LG V20. It's an utter pain in the ass to tinker with, but I guess that makes it a bit more rewarding. Plus removable battery and good DAC.

Note 9! Honestly the best phone I've had since my Nexus 6. I gave the LG G6 a shot, but it was overall pretty disappointing. The Note 9 is an amazing phone and while I'm not the biggest fan of the curved screen, the S Pen does more than enough to make up for it. I never thought I'd actually use it, but being able to whip my phone out to right down a quick note or something is hands down amazing feeling. On top of that the size is perfect and the specs will last me several years.

Pretty much this. I've refrained from buying higher end smartphones since submerging my Blackberry Passport in water (which was a bad buy anyway).

Am Android but I want to try iOS someday, I won't fight about if android is better than iOS, that shit makes no sense, I just want a phone to do his job, nothing else.

Android for sure, but as of late I've found myself really interested in alternative Linux-based OSes for smartphones. It's too bad that truly libre devices are still in their infancy, or I'd have picked one up instead of a Note 9.

Smaller phones are great! I actually dug up my old HTC Droid Incredible a little while ago, and it runs smooth as the day I bought it. Having a custom ROM probably helped.

I haven't used a custom ROM in so long. If only I could use it on a Samsung phone and keep all the features that would be disabled, since I actually use quite a few of them :S

What do you think of the Librem 5? Personally, I can't really afford it, but it looks quite promising

Personally I'm a little disappointed I won't have access to some apps that I frequent now on it (at least not immediately), but otherwise I agree that it does look very promising. I suppose people buying this phone wouldn't exactly be looking for the top free apps on Google Play or whatnot.

Heh, the only app I wouldn't be able to replace immediately, is Signal. The rest I could proably just substitute with normal Linux programs. That being said, I think they're being a bit overly ambitious when they say that they'll update the OS over the device's entire lifetime.
