So I have been having this issue with Arch when I try to do a update by running sudo pacman -Syu

Does anyone know how I can resolve this conflict or can point me in the right direction. I know what package gala-bzr is it is a component of the pantheon desktop enviorment. I have already tried removing it with Sudo pacman -Rsn gala-bzr but have had no joy.

ezpz.

$ sudo rm /usr/share/applications/gala-wayland.desktop

Easiest fix is just removing the file/s. If I remember from a long time ago correctly, the files couldn't be removed, replaced, written over, etc., hence the error. I don't know exactly why, though.

What did removing it throw? I'm assuming "didn't fucking work" means trying to rm the file threw an error.

I dont remember but it doesnt matter anyways cause a package update corrected the file issue.
