Any of you guys into metal? If so post some of your favorites. I'll try not to call out metalcore bullshit on their faggotry.

I'll start off with one of my favorite bands, Boris!

Well the true question here is "What really defines metal?"
If you ask me I like the musical talents of:
Black Sabbath
Slayer
Parasite Inc.
Cannibal Corpse

More are lurking in my mind but I'm a bit drowsy right now.

I like metal- I went to an Amon Amarth gig with Sabaton as the opener and I gotta say that was the most fun concert I've ever been to. Swedes are fucking crazy on stage.

@PotatoVodka Sabaton forever in my heart, their songs with history as the main topic are awesome.

As for me.
- Metallica
- Slayer
- Hunter (probably the only Polish band worth checking out)
- Black Sabbath
- Deep Purple
- Slipknot
- Iron Maiden
- Disturbed
- White Zombie

Anyone into Ghost here? Some don't count them as metal, but to me it's just a throwback to oldschool metal, with fucking pristine choruses.

I'm into most sorts of metal though, to name a few of my favourites:
  • Meshuggah
  • Metallica
  • Watain
  • Parkway Drive
  • Dissection
  • Black Sabbath

Yeah, I could see why. Their first album was really good, first time I heard them was actually live, they played a free festival here and came on at midnight (in late August too, perfect time of year) as the last act of the festival (right before they got really big) and blew my mind. They are definitely better live, among the most enjoyable shows I've ever seen. But their new album is really good too in my opinion - unlike Infestissumam.

Ungh don't get me started.
To answer your answer shortly, yes I do.

Now let me go on forever in a spoiler box c:

Spoiler

By Mafumafu

Ok let me just start with a beautiful metal song by Mafumafu. (Male)
Kyuuso Nekoami no Osusume
Album: Yamiiro Night Parade
Artist: Mafumafu
Genre: Heavy Metal with light electronics. Kind of nerdy tbh :P
May I just add how I love the entry to the chorus? The guitar and bass there are pretty damn cool.

This one is almost definitely the happier metal song. Mafumafu again, sorry it's from his album.
Plastic
Album: Yamiiro Night Parade
Artist: Mafumafu
Genre: Heavy Metal (not all that heavy though but still heavy). DAMN KAWAII

My absolute favorite in his album.
If you've ever heard of Last Note. then you might like this song. It's a bit heavier. (Not thrash though, just heavy metal, like the first song but better).
Rakugaki no Kakushikata
Album: Yamiiro Night Parade
Composer: Last Note.
Vocals: Mafumafu
Genre: Heavy Metal, sounds dark but cool >:D

This one is sweet. It has a refreshing atmosphere to it, starts of very light but towards the chorus you can hear the guitar get heavier sounding, (sorry I don't know all of the terms since I only play piano right now and have a high interest in bass) and then it drops just a tiny bit at the chorus.
Sore wo Kakeorite
Album: Yamiiro Night Parade
Artist: Mafumafu
Genre: Heavy Metal ish i guess it has the guitar going for it

Wait! If you didn't like Mafumafu all that much and you enjoy heavy metal with a sprinkle of electronics, listen to this before you turn him off. There's another guys here! I absolutely love this song, even though I have no idea what form of weed Mafumafu was on when he made this song. The bridge is completely stupid, mixing with some incoherent voices... I love it though.
https://soundcloud.com/uni_mafumafu/09-d...rain-quest
Album: After Rain Quest
Composer: Mafumafu
Mixing and mastering: Soraru
Vocals: Mafumafu & Soraru
Genre: Heavy Metal kind of, I'd say it's a bit light but what'd I know?

Rib

I really like Rib's voice here. He did the best cover to be honest.
This song is, while still Japanese, much darker than the others, depending on which fan-made video you watch. I searched youtube and could'nt find his cover on there, so I assumed nobody that had access to his album re-uploaded it.
Hitorinbo Envy
Album: Singing Rib
Composer: Denpol-P
Vocals: Rib
Genre: Technically Metal but it's light.

Now this is where my list begin to get long. I've managed to find video's on youtube. I suggest leaving while you can. just joking <3
Envy Cat Walk
Album: Rib On
Composer: Tohma
Vocals: Rib
Genre: Metal

"Growling Daisuki! :D"
He has a lot of power in his cute voice here.
I Am Thunder Hero
Album: Rib On
Music: YM
Vocals: Rib
Genre: Heavy ish metal. Once again just light, if you even get what I mean when I say that. xD
Ugn I love it when he shouts at 2:49
ughnn~ <3

Alright, I really had so many more that I wanted to put on here. Like for example, I didn't add Nekomimi Archive to the list under "Rib" because let's face it, the list went on forever already. But there are so many better songs I listen to. Those were just the ones I had on me at the time.

An example of thrash metal would be by S!N, Exclamation! That song, I replayed it for months when it first came out.
Exclamation!

Unfortunately, I don't really listen to English music. That doesn't mean that it isn't good though, I just prefer Japanese music instrumental wise. English rock and metal actually have a large difference if you were to compare it to Japanese rock and metal.

So that's my fangirl moment over.

if you checked out and liked any of that you can ask me anytime for recommendations, that's not even touching the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how much music i listen to

Some of my friends are pretty big fans of metal. I used to be a pretentious prude in terms of pretty much everything, but I've dabbled a bit with it lately and I find SOAD's music incredibly fun to sing with friends. I'd like to get further into it.

Still, I'm not knowledgeable about it.

In reality, all he's doing is pushing the same buttons he always has, nothing has changed. The longer he spends here, the more invested he gets, the more he forgets which life is the real one.

If SOAD didn't make me so nostalgic I might hate them. But I had a lot of good times in middle school drinking to much caffine and jamming out to SOAD with my friends.

Also, posting some more metal.
