there is no objective "common sense"

or put more simply

not everyone's common sense is the same

rules on a forum are more or less just guidelines; moderation is based almost completely on common sense.

rules that are carried out to the letter are no fun for anyone, neither staff or users, and the past is a good example of that.

We need rules because when an admin talks to a person about something in a thread that is off topic for two pages the thread doesn't get locked, but when I'm off topic for 2 posts it immediately gets locked because I'm 'silly'.

Here, I've put together a really good guideline for you.

1. Use your common sense.

I'm sure arguing with nerd for 2+ pages on a topic that had nothing to do with the thread was really mature and the logical 'common sense' thing to do, or was that just a joke?  If that's the case then haha senpai, good one!  Really mature joke there buddy! XD

@Senpai

if you're trolling, congratulations

if you're not, I feel very sorry for your parents for having birthed something with such substantial mental defects

let's be real, you've already admitted that you're running the forum for your own benefit, so why should you care about user input, right?

all you're concerned with is making yourself look good

at my job, they have "soft rules" when it comes to grading the quality of our calls. they argue that it is better becasue we can always argue in our favor if we get points deducted, but in practice, they have just as much leeway against us, and it usually makes any appeals decided against us. ultimately it puts us in a situation where we can't win. we end up being penalized at their discretion.

1. Use your common sense.

I don't think I've ever talked to someone with their head so far up their own ass as yours is.

The problem is that you started this with the intention of being on the attack, I won't take anyone seriously when it's clear that they only want to cause trouble.

Ask me again when you've calmed down; and be somewhat respectful about it. Show me respect and you'll have my respect in return.

I think people often forget that I run this forum more for other people than I run it for myself; I gain nothing but new friends from running this forum and I don't expect anything more. I don't intend on letting people treat me with disrespect, as I've never done anything to deserve disrespect from anyone here.

I had calmed down when you started the thread, but I can't stay that way for long when talking to someone as retarded as you.

I edited that post BTW.
