Greetings, fellow perverts! I'm a student of Japanese with N3 (mid level) on the JLPT. I'm sure lots of you are studying Japanese, you can ask me any questions. (I might even take up translation requests for doujins if they're not unstomachable)

Also, I'm not used to being a non-lurker, and I'm terrible of even keeping track of forum users. So I'm probably just going to post my opinion and not even remember if anyone responded to my post.

Heyo!

Nice to see someone else that's learning the language :D

Welcome to the forums!

In reality, all he's doing is pushing the same buttons he always has, nothing has changed. The longer he spends here, the more invested he gets, the more he forgets which life is the real one.

Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Japanese is rad.
Although I'm very bad.
I hope you won't get mad.
You're welcome here, more than just a tad.

I don't really care much for Japanese culture or the language. Just the anime and hentai ;D

I meant to welcome you a while back, but I was at school when I saw it and forgot (if my memory is as good as I remember haha get it).

Anyway, welcome to Lewd!
It's just as Senpai said, I recommend you join the languages group!

I found your introduction quite interesting as one of the top things on my to-do list right now is to study Japanese. You see, I want to compose music for vocaloid and stuff when I'm older. My end-goal at the moment is for someone (specifically a utaite) to cover one of my songs, but enough about me.
I was wondering, how long have you been studying Japanese for?

Y- yeah. I hope we can get along!
Please take care of me, I can be quite shy.
Welcome! >.<

Ah- I forgot. If you every need something or someone, I'm always here lurking so feel free to PM me. While others don't really use it anymore (which is a shame but understandable) I'm always online and available in the Discord chat so feel free to @Jebbika me or PM me there. >.<

I hate weeaboos. I don't conisder myself a weeaboo, I'm actually Japanese for real, well almost. I will be when I live in Japan though. Right now I'm studying japanese, japanese history and I'm following Bushido, the way of the warrior. This is why I hate weeaboos that know 5 words in japanese and use them all the time, kawaai baka DESU NE MOTHERFUCKER. I'm actually trying to become Japanese for real unlike all these faker wees. FUCK YOU WEEABOOS

Spoiler

I joke. Welcome to Lewd, friend. I've always wanted to learn Japanese, it's a cool place. Enjoy your stay!

Heya weeanoob, I hope you'll enjoy it here. I think it's pretty cool that you're learning Japanese. But I'm only in it for the cuties myself, kinda like what @Oliver said.

Welcome to the forum!

I don't have any plans of going to Japan, but I am interested in learning Japanese for the purpose of watching anime without subtitles and playing exclusive Japanese video games. (and eventually to make it easier to speak to Japanese-Americans who are less fluent in English) I'm not really sure where to begin though... I did find some useful information on reddit at /r/learnjapanese, but I'm just sort of blown away by Japan's complex writing system so I'm afraid to dive in. (They write in THREE languages?!) I may ask for the GENKI I coursebook for Christmas as the reddit community seems pretty in favor of it for beginners, but other than that I haven't really gotten to begin studying for real.

Welcome! Join Language if you haven't already, I guess we're a few people now whom are learning Japanese here.

Don't worry about that too much, 2 out of the 3 (officially 4 with romaji - but that's just using the regular ol' alphabet) writing systems are simply phonetical characters that you'll learn quickly. The only tricky part is learning Kanji in that regard, 2200 (at least) characters which you basically just have to memorize straight up.

I'm actually considering learning japanese but what worries me with the written form of it, Kanji.

It just seems very hard to learn these symbols and I'm pretty sure that Romanji isn't used that commonly in Japan to actually be viable.

If I do go for it, Japanese would be my third language. English being second
